A beautiful Sable doe, Knapp-A-Lot's ND's Independance, GE 585318, owned by Susan Knapp of Maryland, was 1st place 3 year-old milker at the 1997 National Show in Harrisburg, Pa. This beautiful doe strutted her stuff to the tune of a Linear Appraisal score of FS 92! I wish I could explain the coloring of this awesome doe, but as soon as Susan sends us a picture, I will post it for all to see. Clearly, Independance is a perfect example why Sables need their own breed status. In the Senior Kid division at the 1997 National show, Shady Vale SS Rebekah, bred by Rodney Keener of Shady Vale, Lillian, Alabama and owned by Delores Gerst of Shady Glen, placed 3rd out of 11 in her class. "Long, sharp and uphill" were the comments on this very lovely doe kid. If you know of any other Sables shown at the Nationals, please give us a yell so that we can give them their just recognition also!
