ELECTIONS TO BE REHELD
Due to some misunderstanding in the handling of our elections as verses our Constitution and By-Laws, our Sec/Tres. Gwen Johnson has declared the first election null and void, and is preparing for a second election to be held as soon as possible. Candidates will be announced, and you will be contacted with further information.
Sables Do Well In Illinois Show
Klisse and Bruce Foster attended the Heartland Diary Goat Show at Cambridge, Illinois and created quite a stir among other breeders who finally got to see Sables up close and at their best. This is the type of promotion we need , in the show ring. And Klisse and Bruce have been doing a great job with top placings at every show that they are attending. Congratulations and Thanks for the efforts!
Not Much Movement with The Breed Standard Committee
There does not seem to be much action taking place on Sables lately on the breed standard committee of ADGA. There has been much confusion and dissension as to what the real purpose of the Breed Standard committee is, and communication has been limited. Many are speaking out for more action, including non-Sable breeders, and ADGA directors. Our Proposal committee did a fine job of working together a proposal, only to have it stopped dead in its tracks for various reasons. We hope these will soon be solved, as has the mystery that the Sable Breeders actually DO have an official breed standard that was established in 1981 and passed by the ADGA aboard. Let's hope things start to break loose. We knew coming into this is was going to be an uphill battle, but with the cooperation of you ISBA members sending in your information and helping out, and not getting discouraged, things will turn out for us yet!
